As creative people, we love making new items and seeing where our imagination takes us. We enjoy the challenges that pop up as we are creating something new. Let’s face it: turning an idea in your head into an object in your hand is always more challenging than you think it will be. As a family, we love to travel. The majority of these travels tend to be nature-focused. This world has so many natural wonders. Whether visiting mountains, deserts, forests, or beaches, we find things that provide inspiration, encourage us to leave our comfort zones, and increase our appreciation of the world around us.

On our travels, I am always on the lookout for something to collect. A mind jogger as you will. For me, that tends to be in the form of ornaments. I love pulling them out at Christmas. Each year different ones catch my eye and the adventures and stories created come flooding back. Guests ask, “Hey when did you get this one?”. I get to share my stories all over again. It’s great when you find one with the year on it. However, I always wanted something more. I always wanted to put the date and the names of people who traveled with us. Now I can, and so can you!!! Russel (my husband) loves to complete collections. The idea of setting big goals and seeing how many we can check off our bucket list excites him. It is also inspiration to plan for future trips. He prefers to collect medallions and have a collection he can look at or show friends any time of the year.
